Several scholarships available to Hispanic students planning to pursue education after high school. Criteria and deadlines vary. See www.hsf.net for more information.

Youth Leader Scholarships
Four scholarships are awarded on the basis of academics, leadership, and community service to students who are active members of LDS Church. The minimum scholarship value is $1,000. Application deadline is March 15, 2012.
GRASP Last Dollar Scholarships
GRASP awards at least one scholarship to a graduating senior in each school in which GRASP has a financial aid adviser. The scholarships range from $250 to $2,000. You must have met with your GRASP adviser and have completed the FAFSA, in addition to completing the scholarship application form and essay. Click here for the form, which can be filled out and submitted electronically, or can be printed out and mailed to the address on the application. Further instructions are on the form. Application deadline is April 2, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.
New Generations Federal Credit Union Scholarship
NGFCU offers a $1,000 scholarship to a credit union member or a dependent of a member . The student must be a high school senior or already attending college or trade school full-time. Click here to print the form, then complete it and mail it to the address on the form. Deadline is April 2, 2012.
Monacan Soil and Water Conservation District
Two kinds of college scholarships are available for high school seniors planning to major in agriculture, envirtonmental science, forestry, or other conservation related subjects. Applicants must reside in Goochland or Powhatan Counties. Click here for the Marshall Bristow Scholarship Application. Click here for the VASWCD Educational Foundation, Inc. Scholarship. Deadlines for both are March 8, 2012.
The L. Purcell Bailey Scholars Program
This scholarship is for students who will be attending Randolph Macon College and who think they are interested in entering the ministry. Tylenol Future Care Scholarships
The makers of Tylenol offer the Tylenol Future Care Scholarships for students who want to pursue careers focused on caring for others. In 2011 they awarded a total of $250,000 to 40 students who were selected on the basis of excellence in leadership, academic performance and community involvement. Allen Law Firm Scholarships
The Allen Law firm awards 15 scholarships to Central Virginia students who have overcome obstacles or hardship and attained academic excellence. Each scholarship is for $1500. Deadline is March 1. For more information go to http://www.allenandallen.com/scholarships.html
Virginia Credit Union Scholarships
Richmond Chapter of Credit Unions Scholarships
Two $1500 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who will graduate in 2012. Students or their parent(s) must be a member of a credit union that belongs to the Richmond Chapter of Credit Unions. A GPA of at least 2.8 is required. These scholarships are primarily merit based, not need based. Deadline is March 28, 2012. To access the application, click here.
